Under the sponsorship of Speaker Clifford A. Rosenberger and Representatives Jim Buchy and Scott K. Ryan, the 131st General Assembly of the State of Ohio, House of Representatives formally recognized the Greater Ohio Showmen's Association on the occasion of the organizations 65th anniversary.
The Greater Ohio Showmen's Association is a non-profit organization, the members of which are dedicated to improvement and perpetuation of the outdoor amusement business in the State of Ohio. At 450 members strong, the G.O.S.A works to guide, assist, and cooperate with groups responsible for fairs, festivals, and special events throughout the state.
The proclamation reads, in part, the following: "Throughout the last six and a half decades, the G.O.S.A. has attained a remarkable record of service.  Since its inception, the Greater Ohio Showmen's Association has enhanced the quality of life in our society, and its generous contributions have earned it the gratitude and respect of many."
