H-2B Bill Support Needed!

A recent message From Speaker Ryan states the following:

"We understand the importance of the program. We have not been hearing from Members of Congress that they support it and those that do have not been publicly outspoken about their support. Those who oppose the program have been very vocal."

The Greater Ohio Showmen's Association fully supports the H-2B bill. Our voices need to be heard. We have worked with the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA) in support of this bill and will continue to do so. They are not hearing us. Please help our voices be heard!  We need the support of those who support the H-2B bill and who use H-2B workers. It would be a huge loss to our industry, not just in Ohio, but all over the United States, if this program is dissolved.

From the office of Practical Employee Solutions:

Congressional leaders are not currently inclined to include the H-2B returning worker exemption in the the upcoming spending bill. The first half H-2B cap could be reached by the end of this month and second half cap shortly thereafter. Many seasonal businesses will not get their H-2B workers in 2017, unless we can convince Congressional leaders to include the returning worker exemption in the spending upcoming spending bill that is slated to run through the end of March. This is crunch time and we need your help immediately.

PLEASE let Speaker Ryan hear your voice and send a letter to your congressman in support of the H-2B bill today.

Attached is a link to a letter that you can send to your congressman, stressing the urgency of this bill for our industry. This letter was written by Representative Harris of Maryland.
