GOSA Awards and Nominations
The Greater Ohio Showmen’s Association celebrates people who go above and beyond for our industry.
We recognize honorees during two award periods each year: at our Annual Meeting in January and at our Spring Dinners.
You may nominate someone in any category that applies. You do not need to submit a nomination in every category. The GOSA Board selects one recipient per category each year, except for Special Appreciation, which may have multiple recipients.

Think back on the season: Who made a lasting contribution through their work, leadership, or service? Submit your nomination by November 1.
The GOSA Board votes at its November meeting, and awards are presented at the Annual Meeting in January.
Award categories
- Showperson of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement
- Achievement in Food, Rides, Games, Straight Sales, or Manufacturing
- Special Appreciation

Spring Awards recognize the fair managers, directors, secretaries, support staff, and event partners whose work makes the events we serve possible. Submit your nomination by March 1. The GOSA Board votes at its March meeting, and awards are presented at Spring Dinners.
Award categories
- Lifetime Achievement
- Recognition of a Fair Manager, Fair Director, Fair Secretary, Concession Manager, or OFMA District Director
- Recognition of a Festival, Fair, or Special Event
- Special Appreciation
The Festival award is presented at the OFEA Convention in November or at the festival itself when scheduling permits.
